Strategic Planning
A successful business must plan ahead, but all too often the pressures of keeping the business running on a daily basis means that strategic planning is not given the attention it needs.
Planning is probably the single most important ingredient to achieving success in anything in life - and business is no exception.
Beatons will discuss how you CAN
- Plan
- Gain control of your business
- Achieve your long-term goals
- Improve your lifestyle
- Grow your business
The process of Strategic Planning can help business owners in the following areas:
- Identifying the need for further investment
- Future product or service development
- Expanding into new markets
- Withdrawing from existing markets
- Aligning personal goals with professional goals
- Succession planning
The depth of understanding we gain from our clients' financial affairs from our accounting, taxation and financial outsourcing experience is the facilitator for adding value to the strategic planning process. Identifying your key objectives and how to achieve them is fairly straightforward. We use our skills to enable, focus and monitor the plans that are set in place. We are a fresh pair of eyes and a sounding board.
Our strategic planning service involves the owner spending about half a day with us, away from the business environment within a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We have a fixed agenda and we spend the allocated time talking. The areas we cover are structured around five main questions:
- Where is your business now?
- Where do you want your business to be?
- How do you get there?
- How do you know that you have arrived?
- Is there anything that you have learnt from the experience that you can use to improve and progress in the future?
We examine personal objectives & earnings; business objectives & earnings; combined strategic objectives; products and services; sales and marketing; management information systems; finance; location; management structure. The finished article is a Strategic Plan for the business. We guide and assist in the implementation of the plan by measurement, review and benchmarking.
